FIELD NOTES /003 — PAST. PRESENT. FUTURE.

Some things are worth keeping. Others are worth changing.

JOX has a history, and we’re proud of it. The original designs, the athletic roots, the attitude that came with them. It’s all part of what makes JOX what it is.

But history isn’t a rulebook.

The past gives us something to build on. A collection of ideas, designs, and influences that still feel relevant today. Not everything needs to be recreated exactly as it was, and not everything needs to be left behind.

The present is where we get to make it our own. Taking what we appreciate about the original JOX and giving it a fresh perspective. Exploring new ideas, paying attention to the details, and creating things we genuinely enjoy.

Sometimes that means keeping things simple. Other times it means trying something different just because we think it’s interesting.

That’s part of the fun.

And the future? We’re leaving room for that, too.

New designs, new ideas, and new generations discovering JOX in their own way. There’s plenty we don’t know about where this will go, and we’re okay with that. The goal isn’t to have every step figured out. It’s to keep building something worth being part of.

The original JOX slogan said it best: “You don’t have to be one to wear them.”

What started as an athletic slogan still feels relevant today. Different generations, different perspectives, but the same idea: JOX has always been about more than a particular sport or a particular kind of person.

Some things really do stand the test of time.
